You need 'ands...

Hi folks. As some of you may have guessed there was actually a pile of work to be done behind the scenes to make all the samplers fit to travel to the numerous exhibition sites. One of the many tasks included the need to frame some of the samplers you will be able to see. This process involved a little bit of conservation beforehand. Part of the fun of putting together a touring exhibition like this was the ability to watch skilled people taking on tasks that for the unititiated seem overwhelmingly difficult. We thought we'd give you an insight into a little bit of the work involved so dragged a camera to one of the training days for some of our conservators. To see this video entitled Simply Samplers, either pop along to our You Tube Channel or download a smaller (20Mb) version from us. It should play with Media Player 10 or above (amongst other things) although we recommend the open-source VLC Media Player which you can download for free if you'd like.
